The Process
- Make the decision that being a franchisee is right for you.
- Research the opportunity.
- Fill in the application form.
- Attend an interview. This is a two way process whereby you decide if this opportunity is right for you and we decide if you would meet our criteria and fit in with our corporate ethics.
- If both parties agree, a business plan would be drawn up and a territory selected for the new franchisee. A deposit payment would be required at this stage.
- A date would be agreed for the start of the training and legal sign up of the franchisee and territory.

Q. How much is the Franchise Fee?
A. The initial Franchise Fee is £15,000 + VAT. Once you have considered the business, and wish to purchase a Franchise, you will be required to pay a £2,000 (plus £400 VAT) Intent to Proceed Deposit. The £13,000 balance (plus £2,600 VAT) is payable when you sign the Franchise Agreement.
Q. What other costs are there?
A. The anticipated set up and operating costs are outlined in the investment required and financial accounts section of the document.
Q. What do I get for my Franchise Fee?
A. This fee covers the cost of:
- A licence to operate a MARPAT Franchise.
- A full Franchisee training programme at head office.
- Up to five additional days of training and support at your premises during the first 6 months.
- The cost of ongoing support includes all marketing, advertising, social media, and appointment setting.
- An Operations Manual on loan.
- Business stationery will be provided to the Franchisor prior to commencing the Franchise, as well as company brochures to be given to potential clients
- A local presence on the MARPAT web site.
Q. What are the details of the Training Programme?
A. The training programme covers all aspects of the business. After the training you will have the knowledge required to run a local MARPAT business cost reduction operation in your area.
Q. What is the earnings potential of a MARPAT Franchise?
A. Earnings are largely dependent on your own efforts and tenacity. However, projections have been provided within the Financial Statements as a guide, which are included in our Financial Information Memorandum based upon our assessment of the market opportunity. You must draw up your own business plan, specific to your chosen area.

Sales is the value of sales achieved in one year.
Gross Profit is the value of profit of achieved from the turnover less cost of overheads.
Q. What is the term of the Franchise Agreement?
A. The term is set for 7 years. You do have the right to renew the Agreement without a further licence fee for an additional period of 7 years, subject to your Franchise having been operated in a satisfactory manner and in accordance with the other conditions as set out in the Franchise Agreement.
Q. What happens if I decide not to proceed, once I have paid an Intent to Proceed deposit?
A. The Intent to Proceed deposit reserves your place on the initial training programme for 6 weeks after which time, if the Franchise Legal Agreement is not proceeding, the Franchisor has the right to cancel. The deposit will not be refunded.
Q. Can the business be sold?
A. Yes, subject to certain conditions. We do stipulate that any purchaser must be approved by MARPAT.
Q. Where can I trade?
A. We are seeking Franchisees for areas throughout the country. You will be asked to carry out an evaluation of your proposed territory as part of our application process. MARPAT retains the final decision on areas.
Q. Is my Area protected, and how is it established?
A. Yes. We will not allow another MARPAT business to be opened within a given area.
Your exact area and territory will be specified in your Franchise Agreement.
Q. Are there any limitations on my trading?
A. You are at liberty to trade with any business within your territory. You are not permitted to use any promotional medium outside of your territory.
